Letícia Lino de Souza
Director of the Institute

Letícia Lino de Souza

Letícia Lino de Souza is an international relations specialist and social entrepreneur from Brazil. Her work focuses on social diplomacy, youth leadership, women’s empowerment and cooperation between public institutions, business and civil society.

She has led Instituto Elos que Empoderam since November 2023. Her professional experience also includes Chief Revenue Officer at Connect Visa Immigration (since August 2023), CMO at Portal Diplomatic (since 2022), and Deputy Executive Secretary at Confederação Nacional das Câmaras Municipais (since December 2024).

Her CV lists volunteering with UN Volunteers Europe and Central Asia, involvement with UNODC, and a coordination role at Instituto Jovem Exportador. It also lists membership of ForbesBLK, ForbesWomen and FCEM. Her activities encompass international mobility, social development and opportunities for young people.

The education section of her CV lists postgraduate study in Foreign Policy and Diplomacy at Yale University (2025), a specialisation in International Relations at ESRI (2024), and studies in Design and Visual Communication at Escola Saga.

Farihah Mohammed
Deputy Director for Programs

Farihah Mohammed

Farihah Mohammed is an independent international development consultant based in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. Her work connects research, policy analysis, human rights, strategic communication and advocacy, including refugee protection, forced displacement, human trafficking and country-of-origin research.

Since November 2023 she has undertaken consulting projects involving human rights, research, reporting, expert witness testimony, training and communications. From 2018 to 2023 she worked for UNHCR as Protection Assistant – Registration. In 2018 she served as Executive Assistant to the Ambassador of Argentina in Port of Spain.

From 2009 to 2016 she taught Spanish within Trinidad and Tobago’s education system. Earlier, she completed a communications internship at Petrotrin (2003–2004). Her skills include corporate communications, corporate social responsibility and protection systems.

She holds a Master’s degree in Global Studies, a Postgraduate Diploma in International Relations and a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Communication Studies from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine. She also holds the University of Cambridge CELTA certificate and speaks English, Spanish and French.

Epaphras GIBBS

Epaphras GIBBS brings experience in organisational management, communication and journalism. His skills include strategic planning, organisational development and youth development.

From 2020 to 2025 he was General Coordinator of Kenari Magazine in Haiti, overseeing key organisational operations. From May 2022 to March 2025 he served as Editor-in-Chief of GRAN HIT HAÏTI.

He holds a diploma in International Relations from ANDC (2020–2024) and a diploma in Communication and Media Studies from ISNAC (2016–2020). His CV lists USIDHR certification in human rights and diplomatic protocol, as well as negotiation training.
